I heard at night your long sighs
and knew you were thinking of me.
As she spoke the doors of heaven opened its way
Then our souls conversed and I saw her face.
Set me a pillow to rest on
Brought me drink stood beside where she lay
Suddenly awoke but she was not there
And none knew how my soul was torn
And how the tears fell surging over my breast.
A kind of imaginary crossing between JJ Perrey and Herbie Hancock (it makes me think of the funkyness of Headhunters I don't know why). Reminds me a bit of Arcadion as well. After many many listens, I have to say that it's absolutely perfect for dancing stupidly at home. Thanks Paddy Steer :) germainfraisse
