Paddy is a Zelig-like character along the timeline of Manchester’s musical activity. It’s a testament to his musicality that he has played with such a wide range of music and artists over the years, be it as a bass player, drummer, Hawaiian guitarist etc. or all these roles at the same time. Paddy Steer is responsible for the wonderful family that is Homelife (released soundtracks and numerous albums on madwaltz, Ninja Tune and later as a duo, on Humble Soul, and his solo album ' Dragons Breath’ has been described as "sounds like a Swiss cuckoo clock made of egg boxes and horsehair, glued together by an African Moog player in a Vietnamese iron monger’s shop."

A kind of imaginary crossing between JJ Perrey and Herbie Hancock (it makes me think of the funkyness of Headhunters I don't know why). Reminds me a bit of Arcadion as well. After many many listens, I have to say that it's absolutely perfect for dancing stupidly at home. Thanks Paddy Steer :) germainfraisse
